--- The USDA website has the current requirements and regulations for traveling with pets Internationally and within the US. The regulations on their website are the guidelines that vets must adhere to, and the website is what vets refer to. --- If you are travelling internationally, be sure to also check with the relevant department in the country that you are travelling to. It is important to ask about not only recent changes to Country laws, but also local regulations. ALWAYS start preparing to travel a few MONTHS ahead of time. Call your vet, discuss your plans, and make an action plan! When I was working in a vet clinic I saw many heartbreaking situations occur when owners waited until the last minute and were stuck unable to bring their furry family members with them. Many countries and locales have VERY strict requirements on the TIMING of vaccines, titers, etc. --- Health Certificates are only good for 30 days, so be sure to leave yourself plenty of time to travel when you schedule your final health exam for your pets.
