ok cool. No foamy stools just seedy and yellow or green and not really formed. They really havent changed much from the pics I posted.
I will try the venison (as long as I can get it dethawed)with the others tonight as they really havent had any non bone meals yet this week.

Great! You will be seeing a decrease kn the number of stools once we get Jesse fixed up. How many times is she going potty? What about the other two? Also how much pumpkin does Jesse get? I would give about 1 tsp a day (you can split it for both meals). See how they look. The food is passing through her too fast - pumpkin helps slow the food down.

it is hard to tell how many times she is going because are usually on top of each other and it is runny so it looks like one big one. I use the worlds best cat litter and when I scoop her box at night it looks like she is going 3 times more than the girls becasue I scoop so much more out of hers. When I am home at night she goes probably 3 times between 5 and 9.
The younger girls maybe go 4 or 5 times the whole day until I scoop the box at night.
I have been giving Jessie about a tsp a day of the pumkin trying to get her stool to firm up.

How much pumpkin is needed to firm up her stools?
Also, are you adding any eggshell to her soups? If not, I'd add a bit, and see if it helps. Hopefully the probiotics helps with the gut bacteria and the pumpkin and eggshell help make the stools firmer.

Okay, so I would check out this thread: holisticferret60.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=vetting&thread=106&page=1The first post has some links - check out the poop pictures. Let me know if they similar, etc. Also, if you can get some focused pictured on plain newspaper, the others on this board can help figure out what's going on. If it is a bacterial issue, there is a poop protocol that you can follow to reset the gut. I'm thinking that we should wait a bit longer for that because you just got the probiotics.

The first time I gave too much pumpkin which was over a tablespoon. Her stools actually looked good on that just really big. I have been adding 1/2 of eggshell to her soups as well.

Okay, then let's up it to 2 tsp of pumpkin and see how they look with that. If after two days they aren't better, up it a tsp. Better to feed a bit too much pumpkin than to have her having bad stools. Of you could work backwards from the amount of pumpkin she was good at, and slowly decrease it until her stools are steady and good. Here is the link to the poop protocol. I would wait on this until we get her a bit more stabilized on the probiotics. Keep it up, you're doing a great job I know this is stressful and ferrets keep you on your toes www.holisticferret60.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=healthinfo&action=display&thread=101

Ok I will try that with the pumpkin. It is stressful and sometimes I wonder if this is the right thing for them but I know it is I just wish I could get Jessie normal. I will let ya know how the pumpkin goes.

The little girls seem to be doing so well so it is frusterating with Jessie. The girls ate the chicken gizzards and the loney chicken heart that was in the package . Their stools are really dark though, it that from the gizzards? I havent noticed much of a change with Jessie's stool so I will see how they are when I get home today. I gave her a tablespoon of pumpkin like I did before and will just work backwards when her stools are normal again. On a good note she was a bit more active last night. Usually she only wakes up to eat or go to the bathroom and then goes back to sleep but last night she was walking around her cage a little more Yay!!!

The dark stools are from the heart - it is a very rich. That is to be expected. ;D Yeah I'm lucky to get a couple hearts in my gizzard packaging Go figure The gizzards are GREAT for chewing - they are rubbery and clean their teeth and excercise their jaws and everything Aw, that's great! I hope that it's just a tummy upset and it will clear up soon Fingers crossed

Hi Jackie,
I found some Evo 95% meat on amazon that has all the same stuff as the stella and chewys freeze dried except I dont have to mix anything up. Do you think I could try it with Jessie and if I did what formulas becasue I didnt see any lamb? From what I saw they have chicken, turkey, beef, venison and duck. Thanks.

Well the Evo isn't raw, but it is much better than kibble. It will probably take at least a week for her tummy to settle down and stabilize, so even if the lamb was working we won't see results for a little bit. It is up to you, though Once her stools are stabilized, we can start moving her forward with the other two and try to catch her up. Let me know whatever you decide If you do switch her to the Evo, I would try the duck, and maybe the venison (to get her used to the flavor). Try to avoid chicken so we can rule out a sensitivity to it. Once she is stable, we can try chicken again.
