Hello fellow ferret lovers! I just bought a FN cage today from some one off of craigslist. It's in pretty good shape, actually. The floor trays and plastic parts, also the ramps, need to be replaced. The cage needs a good sanding down because the paint is chipping off.
Has anyone worked and fixed up a beat up FN cage? I would like to sand it down really good and give it a whole new paint job, and make it cute with a different color.

There have been a few....the problem is getting a decent paint job so that you don't poison your ferrets. The cage has to be treated in a special manner so that they paint doesn't come off when they bite and scratch at the cage ciao

Very good point Heather, I was keeping that in mind. I was going to ask what kind of paint I could use that would be best for the cage and the furballs who live in it. That's if anyone has done it and if they did, what was their process.
