You can try putting a little ferretone over the soup, I've not had much luck with that approach but some do. Keep up the battle, ferrets are so dramatic aren't they?

Oh my gosh, they are SO dramatic. So today, Steavn was trying it, but always stuck his nose up at it. He would try some when I scruffed him, but then he ran away! So Steavn had to be tucked under the arm, scruffed, AND his hands held by papa to try the meat again today. He was super agitated with us! He wanted NO part in it. We called it quits when he drew blood from me and was making a whining noise. He's such a baby. We tried the syringe with Penny, but she really doesn't want it. They take it better off our finger or the spoon. They only take a couple licks before they are DONE though. We also tried adding the Ferretone, and that did NOTHING lol!
My boyfriend is discouraged and so is my mother. She says that her grandbabies shouldn't go through such torture and she would rather see them eat "that Wysong Epicac Stuff". Lol, I'm still hopeful though!

Just tell them it's normal, it's why we have this whole program because ferrets are so fussy about trying new foods and raw and kibble are nothing alike. Plus no matter what you need to get them accepting a soft food in case of serious illness. A couple licks on their own is actually really good progress so don't feel discouraged, just keep doing a quick grab and force a little into their mouth and ignore the dirty looks. They'll get over it.

I came home today from a bunch of unplanned running around, and found my babies curled up in a box with old beanie babies lol! So I cleaned up their poop and they were happy to see me, but I noticed Penny wasn't acting herself? She was fine last night, then I didn't see her until about 7pm today when I got home, and she might just be sleepy because I woke her up, but she wasn't acting right. No temp, but she just felt really "empty" and just wanted to be left alone and sleep. I gave her some antibiotics because we were just getting over something that happened a couple weeks ago. I also noticed that someones poop was sticky and had red in it. Could that be from the raw food? Or is this something I should be worried about?

Ok couple questions, you gave her antibiotics today, or she's been on them the whole time? What for and what dosage/med? Sticky poo could be from the raw but doesn't sound like they are really eating enough to do that. I would keep a very close eye on her, see if she is eating and pooping, separate her from your other one if possible so you can track that better. Keep me updated.

How is Penny doing? Hoping she's still doing well again. Have you been offering soup?
