Could it be that he is depressed? There was a lot going on... loosing his friend, mommy being sick...
Have you been at the vet for his check?

He just went to the vet yesterday and he said that he is totally fine besides his insulinoma and his glucose iss till a little low. And I did actually get a new friend for Jesse! His name is Axel and they are really getting along. They are sleeping together tpand every morning they play together. I'm wondering if Jesse is doing it for attention

If you'd like to switch him together with Jesse, please post a pic, his weight, current food ect. I'll have limited internet access for this week, we go on vacation, so answers may take a little longer Sent from my SM-G900F using proboards

Just popping in to say that I have internet access in the appartment, I read a bit on the forum when I wake up in the "morning"... We are currently at the biggest gothic festival in Europe, last concert last night ended at 3am, so it gets noon pretty fast with a couple of hours of sleep Sent from my SM-G900F using proboards

Oh sounds like fun! I'm sorry I haven't been on in a while. It seems like Jesse is doing so much worse.. He will only eat mushed up kibble. And when i give him his soup, He will only eat it if I am giving it to him off the spoon. He isn't playing as much either. I mean he never was the most active but every other day normally he would be bouncing off the walls and now. Nothing, he will wonder for a little while and hide some toys but then he goes under the couch. I'm giving him a new kind of prednisolone..I'm wondering if that's why. I don't know I could just be paranoid!

Thank you yes, it was a lot of fun, but it's already over Oh no, poor Jesse! Don't give up with the soup, try variations, different proteins, it is essential that you find something he is willing to eat! Have you tried pure meat baby food? If he likes baby food try to mix baby food with soup? Would you have the possibility to upgrade his kibble? The kibble you use for the moment is insulinoma in a bag, he might like it because it lifts his bg short term, but long term it is a death sentence and he will be spiraling down faster and faster the more his insulinoma progresses... It might be normal that his bg is not perfectly stable during transition, he goes from a lot of carbs (in the kibble) to zero carb in raw, and the body will need time to adapt its metabolism, even with pred this can be a bit a roller coaster ride for his bg... but if you feel like there might be something else, discuss it with your vet! I did upgrade his kibble because I was completely out and I really needed to find something else, all of the ferret kibbles at the pet store near my house are terrible, so i went with a kitten food that has no grains or rice in it, its called Canidae Pure I think. It seemed a whole lot better than all the other ones that were only wheat flour, corn, and such for their first ingredients. Problem is my new ferret Axel doesn't like it at all.. I think its just too hard? He took one bite of it and stopped eating it. Hopefully he starts to get used to it! But Jesse seems a lot better today, maybe its the change in Kibble, hopefully he will eat his food today by himself!

Also, you're right I think he is just sick of the soupies, I'm going to go to the store today and pick up some baby food, also I will have his weight and everything soon.

What does Axel eat usually? I can only recommend a slow gradual transition from one kibble to another, it is very important for the digestive tract not to change abruptly! the one you bought looks ok, it has potatoes and peas in it, might be a bit hard on the kidneys, but certainly better than the previous one How about looking for freeze dried as snack and pleasure for Jesse? You could also put little crumbles of freeze dried as soup topping to entice him? Here it is exceptionally hot, so my ferrets enjoy diving in a huge water bowl and fishing for pieces of freeze dried treats. Sent from my SM-G900F using proboards

I am so sorry for not updating. I'm getting extremely frustrated. Jesse is making no progress and it really Seems he's reverting to his old ways. I'm getting extremely discouraged. He will eat big chunks Now but will not touch it if there's no kibble. I've been trying to reduce it and it's just Not working.

Unfortunately I have a hard time to understand your frustration I don't get enough info from you to understand the situation. Please reply to my questions, please re-read my posts and answer them, what have you tried until now to get Jesse to eat? Has he had a different soup, other proteins?
And what about Axel? I'm still waiting for an introduction of him with description, weight and at least a picture.
I remind you, you are supposed to post every second day and give me a description of your switching process: what have you been doing to get them to eat, what and how much did they eat and how did they react to their food ect. ect.
If I get no details, I won't be able to help you.
