Pookie had tons of fun and met lots of new people and smells. Mr spook the water moniter thought Pookie smelled delicious ! Lol Ali here was very interested when the other birds would shy away he just wanted to investigate. Prime shine the dobie just loved him!

Pookie looks like he enjoyed the new smells too!
The nature park I take my ferts to most often might as well be a dog park given the amount of off-leash pups and poop I run into there (despite the leash law and pick up your poo signs). As soon as I hear the jangle of a collar or see one coming I scoop up whichever kid is with me. I do this a few times a week all year long (unless the weathers too crappy) and most dogs are super-curious. Some are jumpers which makes me nervous but I've found if I let them sniff the fert's backside they'll calm down and just follow me until the owner shows up, I think it helps take the "What is it, what is it, WHAT IS IIIIIIT?!?!" urgency out of them. I always carry the fert until the dog's well out of sight again since I know a little animal on the ground is more likely to trigger the dog's small prey drive, but as long as I'm holding my kid close it's just something that smells neat.
