hey there, this is a very unusal post i apologise in advance! but i have two hobs. I let them out to play today and heard one of them all of a sudden screaming for help so i ran into the room to find that one hob had mounted and actually penetrated my other male hob in the anus....i know this may sound a bit weird but its 100% true i was completely shocked! the first thing i did was pull them apart and my poor boy ran off scooting his bum along the ground and hissing and then hid, ive given him lots of cuddles and brought him back around to his ok state but the one thing im worried about is that his bleeding from his anus, not a lot, ive bathed it and cleaned it up but it still seems to be seeping a little bit....should i take him to the vet??? have any of you ever heard of such strange behaviour??....and obviously i will be keeping my two boys separate from now on and also considering to get them snipped for their health.

While I have never heard of this situation I am of the opinion that blood from the anus equals automatic vet visit.
I did have an occasion with my first ferret many years ago when I thought he was bleeding from his anus. I just grabbed him, phoned the vet and said I'm on my way, no hesitation. Just fyi, when I got there it turned out he wasn't bleeding from his anus but the blood was froma small lump next to it that he had knocked and caused to bleed, it was a tumour which was removed the next day and while it was very small on the outside, the inside tumour was as big as his head!
So yeah, to me, I see blood coming from the anus, I immediatelly head to the vet.

What has happened to him is not that unusual and one of the reasons hobs in rut are normally separated. Have the vet take a look, but in the interim some prep H would likely soothe the damaged tissues. And your boys do need to be kept separate now.

Unfortunately, "practicing" isn't an uncommon occurrence with hobs. I would suggest separating them. The damage was probably done when you "unhooked" them. Sherry's right a bit of pre h would probably help the damage tissue but I'd be taking him to the vet to make sure that no damage or underlying issue has occurred ciao
