Hi, the ferret couture site is not working, but I emailed them and I could order from them a ferret bag (they sent me a paypal invoice) this one: so I was wondering wich ones the other ferret owners here have. can you post pictures of it please? and if possible, pictures of you using it to carry your fuzzy (fuzzies) around. thank you. I cant wait for mine to arrive! ;D

A client of mine actually quilted a carry bag for me It fits like an oversized over the shoulder open purse. I just sewed in the tandem halter to keep control of them ;D I'd have to take a pic, since I don't think I have one!

Do they ship to the U.S. ? I have wanted to order from them before. *pines* In the meantime I bought an all-hemp material bag for Teddy, it's really soft.

Not really a bag but I made a kitten sling into a ferret sling to carry my waiting ferrets at the ferret show. The boys fell asleep in them. I loved it when tazzie was snoring and it got all quiet as everyone tried to pin point the snore. I was like, "yeah...that's my weasel.." This is a bag made by a lady at the ferret show from December. It didn't really hang well but Monny found it to be extra warm. Rest Well My love

They do ship internationaly. and you can send them an email to ask how much would be to ship to the us. they just sent me an email today saying mine will be sent to be (in Germany) as soon as the holiday is over, when the post will be open again. yay!

I had something similar for my Chihuahua when he was a pup, it didnt work well- he tried to climb out the hole.... I used a big tote bag, that was much better. Now, as far as the fuzz go, I carry Baby SoCo around in hoodie pocket-ed shirts or he sits on my shoulder sometimes, he still sorta fits in my scrub pockets so I do that to him sometimes. The time is coming but instead of buying one, I think I'm going to make one like the one TTFR has. Mojito and Kahlua wouldnt set still in a bag unless I had a lot of oil on their tummies but SoCos a mommas boy, Kahlua used to be a mommas girl too but.. not so much anymore. Were working on it. I hope the bag works out for you

I use a soft pet carrier, but I also carry Vixen around in my hoodie pocket, although it's very hard to convince her to stay. SO I might just get a carry pouch or something with a clip sewn in for her harness.

No bag here.... I just stuff them in my purse! I have a huge Vera Bradley tote that I use as a purse and when we go out with the fuzz, I make sure I "ferret proof" it and put the stuff I need that's not ferret friendly in a zippered pocket.

Thanks for telling me. I'm sure it might be a little outrageous to ship here though, but I'll think about it, hehe. He seems to like his hemp bag pretty well though - it's like a purse/sleepy sack all in one! Haha, Rose, that's kind of what I do except my bag sadly isn't designer - it's very Whole Foods fair-trade hippie-ish I guess. ;D

I have an older version of this. (link below) Mine has mesh in the front also though. And I have to say DON'T GET IT! It does NOT stay formed like it shows. It is a fleece bag, with no supports other than a flimsy piece of plastic for the bottom that warps from the ferret's weight. You might as well buy a fleece pouch. Also, the straps are made for people with massive breasts/belly or super tall. On short little me, if I use it like intended as a front pack, it hangs down almsot to my legs unless I cross and tie knots in the straps. Also as it has no supports to maintain the cube form, the bottom piece flops down and the whole thing flattens smooshing the ferret unless you hold it out.
That said, it still works as a stuff bag. I used it when I just had Koda (it's not big enough for 2 ferrets). I would put him in the carrier, and put that in another large purse like bag to get him in and out of my apartment. (No pets allowed) Since I got Kenai, I have bought a large purse like bag...that has a fluffy inside and zips up, So I conceal them in that until we get to the car where I move them to their kennel. lol
