After a rather long pause in the foster program as well as our weekly ferret meet-ups, I think I am finaly up to par with life. The most recent activity is the decision to foster a surposably 7mth -1yr girl & boy pair. I was not expecting adenral... In the end what I got was: Two mid-life females, one with adrenal. They absoluetly LOVE each other. It is really sweet to watch them groom, cuddle, and just swoon over each other. Pictures to come!! My only questions are: The adrenal girl has clear or light teeth the entire weight up her canines. And, the little healthy girl has 1/2 her teeth clear. Does this gestimate their age ranging from 4 being the youngest, and up to like 10 being the oldest?

Your looking at probably a 5 to 7 yr old for the youngest and possibly an 8 plus for the adrenal. Are the gums clear around the roots, pulled away from the tooth? ciao

They do sound sweet Are you going to introduce them to your crew at some point? And where/who are you fostering them for?

Hey Hey
I just checked her teeth and yes, the top of them are clearier than the rest. Like that yellow clearness you see that starts on the bottom of the teeth.
The way my program works is that I have a single spare foster cage. The cage can fit 1-4 ferrets. So that means at one time, I can take care of a single ferret, or pair untill a home is found. Ferrets come to me through word of mouth so I never look for them. Right now I am talking to a ferret rescue up north of me to possible combine some resources. You know..if I can't foster a pair because my foster cage is full, Perhaps we can transport them to that rescue. And vice versa.
I don't think I'm going to introduce them to my guys. In the past that has ended up with the ferrets STAYING because they fell inlove with a ferret of mine. lol Like Wheezy and Dirt bonded deeply with tazzie. Dingo fell in love with Monster. Ripply & Dakota. But I do kind of feel all happy inside with these two girls. I'm not sure if they just remind me of my boys or not but I really don't need 2 more ferrets to take in permamently.
oh and don't worry. I have my play pen for the fosters to play.

That's wonderful- and yes, I understand fully about them winding up as "permanent" fosters ;D It would be great if you could work with the rescue!

Anyone know any more about the teeth? The older girls teeth are opaque the entire way up but clear yellow from the gums down 1/4 way.
