today after a long day at the reptile expo i decided to grab a few guineas and at 4 bucks a piece i thought it was better then having it shipped, everyone seems to be taking to it ok how do you serve whole frozen guinea pig to a tub full of ferrets? you slice it up? or just let them try to dig in?

How big are they? Large rats I cut in half and serve that way (my guys are rather lazy and don't like to cut into the skin of older rats. Rabbits I cut into quarters ciao

theyre fully grown id say one is probably a meal for all five, tonight steven did what he usually does to deer, up the middle and got the intestines out left all the organs though. this is going to sound gruesome but what about the head?

I take out the intestines, otherwise they make a mess of them and then refuse to eat it until I clean it off. There's a lot of poop inside a GP! They can get in by themselves fine, just don't seem to have the sense to eat around the icky parts, at most they might leave a bit of fur. Large rats they eat everything and I leave whole.

Two of mine love the rabbit head. Don't see why gp head should be any different. If they'll eat it, great- if not, then you just wind up tossing it. One way I got mine interested in the head was letting them have a go at the rabbit before gutting, or anything else. Might be worth a shotIf they don't take to it at first.

I know with rabbits I just toss them in the cage whole...I figure GP's wouldn't be much different
