Three years ago I rescued Waffle and brought her to be with my other ferrets Pixie (giggle) & Gus (dance). She was the sweetest ferret ever. On Dec 24, 2013 I lost my poor dear sweet Waffle . Waffle became ill and had to have an emergency surgery that she just did not recover well from. I told the vet that she could not stand for her to suffer any longer and good thing too because organ failure had started .
Fly high and DIP Dear Sweet Waffle . I will miss you so much and am just devastated at the loss of you

She was very beautiful, LadyZinn. I'm sorry for your loss, i would suggest getting some Rescue Remedy if at all possible, it may have been a good idea to bring home her body and let them say their final goodbyes. I did that with Hagrid and got a different results.. but none of my ferrets ended up going full depression.. Rescue Remedy is a good idea and second best until they are done grieving. Again, i am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful girl, i hope i have helped you

Condolences on Waffles passing. That first ferret loss, especially when it comes so suddenly is devastating. May you and your other wee ones find solace in each other and may your memories of Waffle become treasures that can bring a smile to your face rather than tears from the pain of her loss

I am so sorry for your loss. Especially this time of year. My Clyde died at 18 mos. (marshall's). His sister Bonnie missed him so much. She lived 7 1/2 years. She left right before Christmas, I was heart broken. I knew she wanted to spend Christmas with her Clyde. She stayed with me as long as she could, now it was her time to be with Clyde. Maybe Waffle had someone at the bridge she was missing and wanted to spend Christmas with them.

My poor babies are missing there sister ... Gus only sleeps on the bottom where Waffle use to sleep.... and Now pixie is doing the same thing..... Pixie runs all around the house and looks in all Waffles hiding spots...... It is so sad to watch them and not be able to help.... I give lots and lots of cuddles... but watching them grieve is just as heartbreaking

It really is. When one goes off by themselves make sure to pull that one out for snuggles.
