Frankie is still on chicken for the moment. She is taking some small pieces but leaving others. When I try turkey, am I looking for turkey hearts and livers like I do the chicken? I haven't seen any more green in her stool. It is usually a very dark diarrhea by the end of the day, and a dark semi solid in the morning.

Basically you are looking for whatever you can find right now. I am really wondering if she is sensitive to chicken. Given that she also has chicken in her kibble this is going to be touch and go, but you *should* notice a slight difference in her stools if that is the case. You can make a soup from the turkey, and just check for heart and liver from anything but chicken. Beef and pork are the most common.

Frankie was good about eating her soup then decided she didn't like the small meat pieces & went back to mostly kibble. I think I added too many to fast. Trying again with fewer smaller!

They can become overwhelmed easily Start with only 4-5 slivers the size of the crescent on your pinkie nail. Or even with ground meat mixed in well. Add maybe 1/2 tsp to the dish if you are using that instead.

Frankie has been eating about 2 oz a day of soup with a couple small crescents of meat. She usually waits to eat them last. She got her lupron shot yesterday. Already feeling a lil more weight today.

She's doing well! If you like you can start increasing the number of slivers to 8-10 now Over the next few days if she eats those add another 8-10. Do this until it's half soup and half slivers.

Just got your post today, will do! I was able to get her to take about 4 oz of soup yesterday. Left a couple slivers but ate most! She is back up to about 980 grams. Has lost more fur but I think it's from changing coats cause there are lil hairs growing back on her tail! YEA!
