I took my oldest (3-4 maybe) boy on an outing last week to the bank and then to the pet store. He had a grand old time at the bank running through their bank of potted plants, sniffing everything. After about 45 minutes at the bank, he tired out and snoozed on my arm. During our time a the pet store, he seemed really tired and so I eventually put him in a cat bed. He would yawn, stretch out his little paws next to his face and then burrow underneath the cat pillow.
When we got home, he ate, pooped and went to sleep. Since then he's had runny stool of all different colors and sometimes just a bit seedy (depending on the meat for the day). I thought he might have gotten into something that I didn't see so I gave him pumpkin and lax, but the pumpkin comes out formed and normal. His activity level is normal and he's still the first to the bowl when I set it down.
He had trouble adjusting to raw a few months ago and had really bad diarrhea and seedy stool. I wondered then if he had IBD. Could the stress of going out have caused this?

It's possible. Or he may have picked up some sort of virus while out and about. It happens. Or- he could have IBD. Only way to find out is to take a stool spec to the vet, and let them rule anything out that way.

He definitely could have picked something up at the pet store. Maybe get a fecal done and see what the vet says? Hope your baby feels better

give him soft foods only make sure he is well hydrated. what are you feeding him? sometimes during shedding time/coat changes they have gastrointestinal issues because of the stress (believe it or not they DO get stressed during coat changes--such sensitive little animals). during coat changes i have seen greenish poops, jelly like yellow mucousy poops, seedy poops, etc. then it resolves on its own. any teeth grinding? eating and drinking normally? behavior normal? i would not worry unless you see that he is not eating drinking as normal or if he has teeth grinding/lethargy.

He could be just recuperating from a rather exciting day Keep an eye on him. I have a couple of little ones who react just like that to an exhausting day of out and about. I would watch carefully and see what happens ciao

I forgot to write give him some RR. Some people say it is also good to give before outings.
