Kristy Walter is no longer at Harleysville Vet Hospital in PA. She is now at Ironstone Vet Hospital in Boyertown, PA. In Harleysville, the main ferret vet is Dr. Paul Wagner. Harleysville has two other docs that are comfortable caring for ferrets so all around, they are a good place to go.

I would just like to add my vet onto the list if at all possible for Connecticut! They are very experienced with ferrets and were recommended to me from my state ferret shelter. They did a wonderful job and performed a blockage removal surgery on Jaxson a couple months back and saved him. Kansas ferret vet updated infoI'd like to give you an updated website to the vet list. Dr Larry Snyder in Topeka KS has changed the name of the practice and the new website is: www.universityvetcare.com/The old universitybird website is no longer active. I called in to them as a new patient and they were willing to order the Ferretonin implant (http://www.melatek.net/p/ferretonin-implant.html) with 1 week advance notice and trusted me to order without having seen my ferret first. We have an appt for a wellness visit next week.

I'm working on updating this thread. There are a few states with no vets listed. If anyone has a vet to add, or knows of a vet whose practice has changed, closed, or no longer accepts ferrets. please post and I will make necessary changes. I've gone in and added a few from posts as far back as 2016, including 2 I have used in NE Tennessee.
Note that only the vet's info is added, without comment. If you have/had a ferret vet you don't like, feel free to post it in the chat section, but please keep it civil, as this is a family friendly forum.

VERMONT - Dr. Bazilwich is no longer in Vermont. Grand Isle Animal Hospital is closed. Please update your list. She was my Vet.
Hinesburg Animal Hospital on your list should include Dr. Leavey - Exotic specialist Now my fuzzy's Vet.

Hello. I've read the entire post and tried searching the forum but couldn't find anything on a good ferret vet near mobile Alabama. All the listed Alabama vets are hundreds of miles north.
