Just a heads up with Halloween around the corner. If you want to feed your ferrets pumpkin, please do NOT feed RAW pumpkin. It should be well-cooked and/or blended. Giving them raw pumpkin can cause a blockage as they cannot break down the fibers. Cooking the pumpkin helps to break the tough plant fibers down enough for it to pass through their digestive tract. There used to be a thread around here with instructions on how to cook your own pumpkin, perhaps @sherry knows where it is? Also, it is fall (or Spring for our Aussie members) and thus hairball season. While pumpkin is a good hairball remedy, we actually recommend feeding raw egg instead.
