Found Molly crunching on some bone today Is it normal to have bone pieces every where around their bowl and the cage area they eat? Or should they be eating all of it?

Awesome Molly!
Yes there will be some littlest pieces of Bone left over, especially with the necks. It's also likely that they haven't completely built up their bone crunching jaw strength yet so there are little pieces being left over from them trying to figure out the best way to maneuver their jaws.

Sounds good. I'll also probably take out the gizzards I have in the freezer when I get home and mix it with the chicken muscle meat to get them working on their jaw strength.

Also for the future how do you store the daily meals? I put them all in plastic bags but I find it wasteful is there another way that works well?

I use plastic bags as well. Unfortunately there isn't really a better method. You could also buy a bunch of tiny storage containers that are freezer safe and that way you can re use them. The initial cost would be most but then you wouldn't be throwing out so many bags.

How are they doing? I will get you to start posting their weekly menu for this week now that you are back, so that we can work on getting it balanced! If they are eating bones now on their own then your weekly menu should have 9 bone meals and 2 muscle meat meals and 1.5 heart meals and 1.5 organ meals (half liver / half kidney). Don't add the eggshell anymore, as they will get what they need from the bones. Keep chopping up the bones nice and small for them. And for the 9 bone meals try making some of them neck bones and some of them chopped up tiny wing bones. Sound good for the week?

I'm just driving home now. They will be having wings tonight and tomorrow morning most likely. I'll make a plan when I get home and post it up Also what other kind of bones other then the chicken and neck and the hen bones could I use? I'm probably going to try the hen bones this week as well!

For stitch's surgery tomorrow. Could I cook up some chicken breast and see if I can get away with giving him that rather then kibble at the clinic? And if you get this in time and you think it may be possible to get away with it I'm assuming baking the chicken is the easiest with nothing else but the chicken.

Yes you can do that if they will feed him the cooked chicken at the clinic. Or if he will eat baby food, plain chicken baby food is good as well. It's not great but it's better than kibble For the future lets see if you can find some freeze dried raw in your area. Ask your vet if they would feed freeze dried food at the clinic. If they say yes, then you can have a look in your area to see if you can find any. As for other bone sources: -duck wing and rib bones -turkey necks -pork button bones (they are these tiny little flat pork bones that look like buttons) also quail but I remember you having a hard time finding that
