This video is one of my favorites due to cuteness overload, but also super sad. Poor Bubbles!

My Lemmy was tiny. Judging from the size of his tail he was maybe 6 weeks. He still had his milk teeth. But he never cried. He was with me for over 8 years. I miss him.

Hiro was also so tiny. He cried. I wanted him to meet the other ferrets gradually but what happened was, within the first few days, he met them, and cried and cried after he was taken away from them. The first day they were caged together, Shiloh got him by his scruff, took him to a bed, and just groomed him. He never cried after that.

When I got Bonkers, I had no idea how old they were supposed to be when taken from their moms...Unfortunately I know he was taken much too early. I do hope the pet store lied to me, as they had told my mother and I he was born Jan. 11, 2009...even though it was February 18th or something around there.
Those videos are cute, but also sad.

Aw, now I know why Paulie is obsessed with his squirrel! The squeaker in it sounds like a tiny baby ferret. (He hears it and immediately runs to the squirrel, "consoles it" with licks, and carries it away to one of his dens to "mother" it.
Speaking of tiny babies, last week at the Petco I swear there was a baby jill that's belly was still shaved looking! They were tiny girls!

Koda was REALLY small when we took him home, just a teeny little thing. But man my mind changed about that when I saw Kenai. Kenai was tiny, and he was soooo skinny and scraggly. He must have JUST weaned from mommy's milk and still not be sure what to make of other foods because he was nothing but scraggly fur and bones. I'm not totally sure he was eating enough kibble. He even resisted raw initially, I had to basically go through the whole switching process in a day from soup-> chunks where Koda came home and just ripped into the chicken wing I put in front of him. Once he started eating Food though, he put weight on quickly. And he cried soo much too, and would cry in his sleep all of the time. He still cries in his sleep, not all of the time but relatively often, and often wakes up from dreams and just Snaps out of the dream and takes off as fast as he can move all freaked out until I calm him down. I wonder what he is dreaming of? ;D

My newest addition Dixie was very small and scraggly. She didn't know how to be scuffed and acts really funny when being picked up. She whimpers sometimes too. I think she was too young to be in a pet store.
Sad video Katt. Adorable though

The video makes me sad Those little ones were way to young to be away from momma. Do we still have access to the photos of firefox's little ones. Think back to Merlin....he was still with momma when he looked like that. Maybe one of the breeders on line can help us out but I think they're just way to young to be on their own. Marshals babies are getting younger or something. The store that I just got Minion from used to deal with them all the time....the last 4 shipments (isn't that awful way to talk about furbabies), had failure to thrives. The last shipment was all that way, with grinding teeth, whimpering, refusing food of any sort. That's wrong. It makes me angry to see this ciao

oh god those eyes have not been open long your looking at four to five week old kits there they should still be with mum! ( look at the fur on the tails ! its still baby fluff ) I get so angry when I see such young babies away from mum its the same as when you see kits being photographed and weighed every day every second there away from mum is depriving them of precious feeding time and nurturing its oh so sad it tears chunks out of my heart to see this I so feel for those poor mums is it any wonder they give up feeding there young ( so called failure to thrive ) when humans interfere so much take care bye for now crazy lady

I wonder what he is dreaming of? ;D Awwh, poor boy! At least you are there to give him kisses. Sometimes, I hear Oz in his sleep making little squeak/barking noiseses. Oz had it hard as a baby-he obviously had a lot of nervous issues stemming from being taken away from his mum. He chewed fabric and still will and sucked on the other ones' ears for the longest while. It made me so sad. It's wrong of them to take the babies away to early. The trauma for the mom and babies would be immense. I cry when I see those vids, especially the second one.
