Hey yall.
It's been 2 weeks and a few days since my kids were put on a total raw diet and their poops are still not normal. At first I've had nothing but dark loose stools. I added a full day worth of bone and it thickened. Now I see some brown poops but still it's like everyone is just having a bad case of ulcers?!?!?!?!
oh and their is liver in each meal but not a lot. I mixed a certain amount into each batch of ground for them.
Do you think I should get tariene, or feed a supplement to get their poops better?

So they are just eating ground? Or bone in too? I feed organs on their own and usually get really dark runny stool from that, normal brown stuff from raw and the dry, stringy looking ones from whole prey (the best kind imo).

You can try upping the amount of bone for a couple of weeks, and see what happens. Out of curiosity- how much of the bone are they actually eating, as compared to what they are leaving behind?

What about pumpkin in the diet? Some need the fiber to slow things down and firm the stools up.

They get a 1lb of bone a day and usualy is gone by mid next day. I'm thinking maybe its too much liver.
They eat ground beef or pork. + Bone in chicken everyday. What are other types of good bone n meats that are easy to` come by?

Liver should tota
Of course this varies with each fuzz depending on how much they eat, but they should get about 2 oz a liver per ferret per week.

It was the liver.. I gave them 2 days of bone with a side of soup & Squash Mash. Now my poops are whole and not so hard to clean up.
