So i'm curious what kind of harness everyone else uses when walking their ferrets? When I bought mine, it was before I bought Jinx and the only kind the had were the vest type of harnesses. This has seemed to work fine so farm with her, but i took her in the back yard yesterday and she was routing around in the grass and the velcro around her neck kept letting go. The underside does up with a clip so it stayed on and I just grabbed her and reattached it, but I'm wondering if the H Style harnesses work better?

I like the H style harness. The marshall brand or the Premiere 5-in-1 work equally as good in my opinion. The 5-in-1 is kinda heavy on top, so I would recommend it for larger/older ferrets.

I just got a cute one made for small dogs. But it's an X style, and right after I paid it slipped off So I'm ordering an H one online. I lost the one I had They're decently cheap online

Vest harnesses don't work on any of mine but none of them can figure out how to get out of Marshall's H-harness. Each ferret has a different color so adjustments are minimal; makes getting them out the door faster.

I have the figure 8, mine slip right out of them. I also can't seem to find an H harness small enough for my girls so they've slipped out of everything *sigh*

ok thanks everyone for your input. Jinx definitely isn't little, so I'll try and order one of the H style ones online. I found a few in town, but they are ALL red. I want green So I'll see what ebay has to offer.

I like to use the H-style harness. I have some with clips or velcro and I also have a leather harness and lead set that I got from Ferret Couture. www.ferretcouture.co.uk/Petite003-PinkFerretHarness.aspHere is little tip bit, this incident did happen to me. Make sure that you un-clip the strap behind the front legs first. I un-clip the neck strap first. The strap behind the front legs slip down over the belly area. It was a tight fit....
