i think my baby Joe visited me today. i let my other babies out today and after i put the away. i turned on a movie and lied down to watch it, and i heard the patter of ferret feet and freaked out, because i thought my babies got out.
i found Joe's first toy, a warthog stuffed toy, moved. it wasn't were it was before, and i know my other babies don't play with stuffed animals.
so i think he visited me today. he passed away this month last year, but near the end of the month.

they visit us often, it's only when we're open to it that we really notice it

Im so sorry for your loss. I havent had to experience the loss of one of my own ferts but I used to have rats a long time ago, while I lived with my parents, and I used to hear them playing and squeeking in the middle of the night long after they'd gone and all the way up until I moved out. When you have a strong bond with your fuzzy kids, they have a tendancy to come around and check up on you.

I think my ferret lemmy hung around after we put him to sleep in September. And I swear i think his spirit went into Sonny's body. Sonny acts a lot like him. He acts like an older ferret but he's 8 months old. It's weird. And sonny's personality changed literally overnight. I was trying to learn more about this stuff. I wonder if it is possible? Like a possession almost? My husband doesnt believe any of that stuff and even he says that sonny took on a lot of lemmy's personality traits, behavior, habits. Very very strange.

other other girl belle, i don't quite know, got a personality boost, or energy boost, she isn't quite like she was, so I'm thinking she maybe knows Joe is around.
i was out photographing the other day and i wondered over to his grave to say hello, and i guess this is his way of saying hello to me.
