Just popping in for an update. I might not check back in until Sunday night or Monday as I'll be at a wedding tomorrow and on a Train all day Sunday. If you have any urgent questions though just PM Sherry or one of the other mods. I'll try to check in tomorrow after the wedding if I can.

I am so sorry, I've been spending every minute I have involved in one activity/job or another. The only reason I'm able to log on now is because I'm taking an online test (this is the first time I've opened my laptop in about 4 days) and I'm getting so frustrated I need a break!!! Needless to say, the ferret's diet has taken a back burner for the past couple of days. I was able to get them some more heart and I got them to try a little bit of beef, but neither seemed to like it too much. My hectic schedule should stop in about 2 days, so I'll work on a new week menu then.
I'm really sorry I've been out of touch, I'll work on checking this at least once a day.

Whew, things have finally winded down.....a bit. Still extremely busy, but this is my first time off in about 3 weeks (and I'm only off for 4 hours)!!!
Here is a menu- Monday AM- chicken wings with bone PM- pork Tuesday AM-cornish hen wings and thighs with bone PM- chicken breast Wednesday AM-pork ribs, bone included PM-chicken and cornish hen breast Thursday AM-cornish hen ribs with meat attached PM-pork Friday AM-whole meal liver (chicken) PM-cornish hen wing and thigh with bone Saturday AM- whole meal heart (whatever I can get that particular week, this week it's chicken heart) PM- chicken things with bone Sunday AM- half meal heart and half meal kidney (chicken) PM- chicken ribs with meat attached
Ok, 7-9 meals with bone, 1 1/2 with heart and 1 1/2 with organ, half of that liver. At least three different muscle meat groups.

Holy cow, what do you do for work if you don't mind me asking? I hope you get a break here soon! You don't want to wear yourself out. That menu looks great! Much better balance. I will submit it to Heather for final approval. (dance)

Oops one note to add! I would like to see a little beef or other red meat (beef, bison, lamb, goat...) incorporated in there somewhere if you can. You can swap out pork or chicken breast from time to time. It is good for them to get the vitamin B and iron. And remember, the menu is a guideline and a teaching tool, not something set in stone. Just remember to maintain the overall ratio of bone:organ:heart:muscle and you will do well.

Thanks!!!! Any way I could make it better?
I currently have four part time commitments, two of them are paid, one of them will soon be paid (and then I can get rid of the worst of the two current paid ones) and one is complimentary to the one that will be paid soon....haha I work at a camera store and a grocery store. The one that will be paid soon is a therapeutic riding center. When that starts paying (just a few more months!!), I'll get rid of the grocery store, but keep the camera store. The fourth time commitment is doing barn chores in exchange for horseback riding time, which will help me with the therapeutic riding center. I'm up from 7 AM to midnight most days.
I got off of work early tonight though, I've really been lucky today with time off!

That's cool, at least half of the work is fun work! lol I think we posted at the same time. My only real suggestion for improvement on the menu is like I said, to try to incorporate a little beef (muscle meat) into the menu if you can. Or other red meats. Your Monday PM meal for example could be half pork half beef.

Awesome, I'll work on that. I tried to get them to eat beef before and they weren't too thrilled about it, but I'll reintroduce it a few times this week with chicken or hen so they get used to it. Thanks!!

You can always make a chicken based soup and slowly replace the chicken with beef. Think of it as a mini switch. You can try chicken soup as a gravy for the beef as well. Either of these methods work well for introducing new meats

I'll try that if they don't appreciate the beef chunks
