'though I'm still a newbie on this site, I notice that I'm yearning for a few things that reddit has that this board seems to lack. I like the fact that there's a way of prioritizing threads by both 'new', and 'hot/best' by upvotes. I also like the fact that I could save comments/threads for easy referral at a later time as a substitute to bookmarking.
Are these features available on ProBoards at all? Or am I just overlooking something really quite basic?

There is the ability to bookmark threads, but I'm not sure how to as I never do it and I'm not at a computer atm to check the site's features properly. As for new and trending viewing, I unfortunately am not sure the later is not possible. You can definitely see new posts, but I'm unsure of the possibility of seeing the popular threads unless you go through the new posts and see the ones with the red file icon thing.
As much as upvotes are useful, I just don't think that's a possible feature to have on a small forum like this. /r/ferrets and HFF might just have to be separate pages for you to visit regularly if you like both features.

PB lets you bookmark threads, but that's about it. Forums just don't seem to have those sorts of features built in.

Aw, that's a shame. I guess violet's right in the fact that even if we did have those kinds of features, it probably wouldn't be very useful if the activity's too low.
EDIT - grammatical derp

If you want to bookmark a thread, click the "action" tab at the top of the page. You get a drop down menu which includes that.
