Not the 2nd to 3rd version. The original's, which have about a 1/2" gap between the plastic and the edge of the shelf. If you do have the originals, take a picture, and send it in with a request. Tell them you just found out you could replace them

Be happy. A number of ferrets broke their legs with those

If I remember correctly 3kaw, if you've got the 1st version of the shelves, midwest will replace them, and you just pay shipping. my honest opinion on FN shelves- the second version was better than the first and the latest tray type. I HATE the tray type- if you have ferrets that get irritated at all in the cage -they can push up on the tray shelf & it easily comes out & crashing down on unsuspecting ferrets. I have to write Midwest yet again- I dont know WHY they just didnt do what they said they would 2 years ago a snap on plastic top over the shelf would have fixed everything!!! and be cheap to buy!!

It's my little girl Sadie this time. Noticed this morning that she is having issues with one hind leg. Slipping out, falling over etc. When I touch the knee it seems to be painful to her, she twitches and squirms, doesn't do this when I touch the other knee. I'm wondering if she hurt it somehow.?? Only thing I can think of is how she gets into her hammock. It's an enclosed one with a hole, and even though she CAN reach it and climb in, she prefers to climb up to the shelf, thenhang over the shelf and climb into the hammock So she could have fallen off the shelf (it's on the middle of the FN, so not overly high) I've given her some Arnica, for bruising/swelling. But if it's not better will have to have it looked at by vet..... that would be the 5th visit this week. Please PM me so i can get your mailing address & name. :-) Rose
