I went up to get ready to take him back to the vets and Neka passed part of an ear plug about 10 mins ago. I'm taking him back to the vet to see if he ate the other half of the plug. I would think if he was in the clear we'd be seeing orange poop, and nothing yet. (just brown runny poop)

Well, thank goodness he passed part of it. It's a good idea for him to go back just to check

Yep. That'll do it. My Cosmo swallowed half an earplug. He was actually able to throw it up. But that is rare. Problem is earplugs will expand a lot. Harder to pass. I hope your vet (when you tell her it is an earplug) will get on the ball!!

Oh boy!! Sounds like you have a billy goat on your hands. From now on i would give him some pumpkin once a week to make sure his pipes are clean.

So glad he's started to pass the blockage- here's hoping he's able to get the rest of it out!

Thank God I am so relieved. I was so scared to come on and see what happened.
Get a barium x ray done anyway - make sure you're safe. The barium can actually push stuff out. Also, antibiotics might be needed. When Pixie passed her blockage she needed antibiotics.
Give him a big hug for me. Definitely make pumpkin and oil a daily thing.

That's good news! Fuzzies have a huge sense of adventure, and no moderating sense of self-preservation -- constant anxiety and watchfulness, with a sprinkle of paranoia, all come into it

Thx everyone.
Went to vet, saw other vet, she seemed a bit more experienced with blockages then the other guy. Things are looking good. xrays show lots of movement, with possibly a small bit left, that was so small it was hard to say it was not pumpkin. No air pockets, except in colon which she said was normal cause he had a bowel movement just before xray. She did subQ fluids, his abdomen is soft, no palpable lumps, and though he did not like being woken up he did not respond in pain when she examined him. He is not out of the woods yet, but he's drinking on his own, and showing minimal interest in food. Has not vomited anything up since 2 am. He's been passed out for over an hour now(but he did not sleep more then 5 mins at a time all night)
I got the xrays from the vet, so I'll have if I need after hours, to go where ever I want. She was 'surprised' when i told her what their after hours clinic told me. She says is going to make some calls and ensure there is someone available tonight.
He's had several runny loose poops, last one had a slight form to it and was orange tinged. She suggested I bring him back at 6, before they close, for more subq and an check on how he's doing.
Thx so much for the prayers, this little fuzz appreciates it, and so does his sleep deprived, panic stricken momma, pls keep it comin.

Oh and he and his cage mate share an ice cube size portion of pumpkin every morning.... but obviously that is NOT enough! Going to up that one as soon as he's eating normal again. sigh

Adding some oil can help keep things lubed up. I use EV olive oil, but fish oil or a mix is just even better I have been there, it was one of the worst nights of my life. Hopefully everything else comes out fine with no issues.

Oh, I am soooo glad that your little one was finally able to pass this. How frightening. Hopefully the worst is over and he can get on to being a ferret. Watch him closely over the next few days for any signs of IBD, he may need an antibiotic to help heal. Give the little garbage fuzz a hug and please tell him to stop eating things that shouldn't go into that fuzzy mouth, he's going to be the death of us all and give his momma gray hairs before her time ;D ciao
