Hello everyone!
Well...we had success! See my kids all eat prey, except for 1 kid, Ozzy. They also eat gizzards and hearts (Chicken). So I felt like if they will eat those, let's see what happens if I mince up raw chicken and throw in a couple egg yolks. We put bowls into each of their cage apartments and everyone except for Ozzy and Booda ate some! I was so excited. They all felt that since we were in the room that it was time to come out to play, so they lost interest in the meat quickly. We left them out to play and after about an hour Mr. Moof was begging to back up so to get at the meat. Rather than put him up I got the bowl out of his cage for him. Moofy gobbled up the meats. Naturally some of the others came out to investigate, which led to me getting out another bowl from the other cage. Again, they all gobbled the meat pieces and egg up! I was shocked and delighted all in one! Though....the egg did give them funny poop after a bit.
How often should I offer meat? I would like to keep kibble in at all times, especially until they are into the raw 100%

I would offer meat every chance you get if they're willing to eat it. You definitely want the majority of their diet to be meat and eventually they will all switch entirely and no longer need kibble. Just keep in mind that they shouldn't have kibble within 2 hours of being fed raw - it messes with how they digest their food since kibble and raw have completely different lengths of time to digest. Kibble takes a lot longer than raw, and if there is kibble in their stomachs when they eat raw the raw will sit too long in their stomachs. Maybe instead of leaving it in the cage 24/7, try only keeping it in the cage when you're not home or when you're sleeping. All other times they should have access to raw.

Ohh!!! I had no clue! Ok, I can do that! I know though that I will never get Ozzy and Booda to switch. Y__Y Booda eats prey, hearts n gizzards...but refuses anything else, including soup and all but tone as treats.

You never know! There have been a lot of extremely stubborn ferrets, who with time and equal stubbornness from their owners have completely switched! Sometimes tough love is the best way to make the full switch, maybe you should try completely cutting the kibble for a day or two. Sometimes all it takes is for them to realize that raw is the only choice they have, they almost always will end up eating what's available rather than letting themselves go hungry.

If you can get them all eating raw/whole prey that would be fantastic Why not read through some of the mentoring threads to get some ideas? And no reason Ozzy can't be switched

Ozzy will not touch prey, gizzards/hearts, soup, none of that. Just kibble, n-bones, and if I give them like a chewie. But I totally get the tough love thing....and it is worth a shot!
I shall go spy the mentoring areas too!

Watch playing the tough love thing. Unless you absolutely know that your ferret isn't insulinoma please be very careful as to how long you allow them to go without food. I would far rather hear that you've worked one on one with him trying to entice him to eat raw (you will get some good ideas from the mentoring program) Please, anyone who uses the mentoring threads for ideas, remember that those threads though open to the public to be seen are not to be posted to . ciao
