A farmer comes to knoxville once a month with all types of poultry from chicks to laying pullets. They are all live but they do have organic chicken and I wonder if they will care what I do with them. knoxville.craigslist.org/grd/2297967314.htmlAlso would a diet of these various poultry/ages be a good enough diet. I don't know if you do whole prey if you need to do rodents and poultry.

I'm sure everyone is different, but I'm sure they're OK with their chicks being used for food in whatever form necessary. Farmers are closer than anyone in our society to our circle of food and don't have a problem with it (I've never met a vegetarian farmer, although I'm sure they exist).

Chickens are one of the most common sources of food, and I don't think he would be unaware that some people would like to use them for food. I'd say go for it

It says they have turkey, duck, geese, and chicken. That's 4 protein sources. Plus you can always add whatever else you can get at the grocery store for a good price. As long as they're getting 3 proteins, and all their needs met (meat/bone/organ), I don't see how it'd be an issue.

If you are planning on live feeding, I'd not mention that Some people have a bit of a problem with it ;D And quite frankly- I don't see why you would need to mention what they are for at all.

I buy live chicks and feed live. I don't see a difference these chicks are going to be eaten eventually anyhow.

I would say most don't, they know they are going to likely get eaten anyways. There was a farmer locally last year selling rabbits in the paper "for pet or feeders", I'm hoping they do the same this year and that the price is right. Everybody gets chicks shipped in here and most only keep a small yard, I haven't found anybody selling chickens, although I can get plenty of eggs!
