They tend to eat a lot more during the transition. That is normal. They level off and eat less after a few months

I'm glad they took the organs right away. You are lucky! How are we doing on the meat slivers?

They arent a huge fan of the meat slivers lol. They like their mush. They get it literally all over themselves its kinda hilarious. But they are learning slowly. The meat slivers they try some then throw it and some disappear.

Yea they are pretty stuffed right now but they gobbled up slivers in 5 minutes this morning I was shocked I will give them some heart slivers later on today. They are really enjoying this new food they got hyper after they ate instead of the usual going to bed immediately after.

I have a cheapy kitchen scale for my meats that I bought at Target. I have a Salter baby scale that I got on Amazon.com and I weigh Sonny on that. Oh that reminds me, post their weights when you get a chance. Have to keep track of weights during the switch.

If you have a human digital scale just weigh yourself then weigh yourself while holding each of your ferrets. Then subtract the difference

ok we just weighed them and they lost some weight.
Blaze was 1500g now he is 1179g Cinnamon was 800g now she is 726g
we had to convert from pounds to grams so there may be some variance but probably not much

Well summer is here so I would not be too concerned right now. Do they look thinner? Still active? I would say each ferret (males) can eat 3-4 oz in summer. Winter 4-6 depending in how large they are. Females can eat as little as 1-2 oz a day.

I do feel like they are thinner but they are definitely very active. Right now we are giving them 6-8 oz a day total and they are acting like it is not enough

They over all seem quite healthy. This week has been a long stressful one so they havent played as much as Id like them to have but I will rectify that this weekend. The girl seemed a little thinner to me but the boy still seems like a little fattie Im trying to upload some pics for you to see.
