Ah I see. I made with about half raw last night and they are it just the same. I'm home from work today. Put out turkey instead of chicken, but they've been asleep under the couch all day. Sydney and Scout have come out and nibbled on it a bit. Dunno when they usually eat because their bowl is always empty when I get home. Guess they'll come out when they're ready. Probably just used to my normal schedule.

That's awesome Keep increasing the amount of raw and keeping me posted. The commercial mixes that you got, were they ones that included organs and heart or no?

Yes I made sure to get the ones that said they included everything. I don't think they were huge fans of the turkey but that's probably because they got too used to the chicken. I want to try to do straight raw at least by midweek next week. They were quite lazy yesterday, but not in a sickish way.

I gave it to them frozen for the first time just now an they're going nuts! Can't peel them away from the food.

Oh yeah is it normal for them to drink less water on raw? They still pee a lot but their water intake has significantly gone down.

Hmm okay I will do some research and see how well they are balanced. You may end up needing to supplement with a little extra organ and heart, but that should be fairly easy. I'll let you know what I find out.

Okie dokie! They ate 2 bowls last night with it being frozen! And attacked it this morning when I put it in their cage.
Any idea on the water question?
I'm going to make more tonight and try to make it mostly raw. My Proboards app hasn't been working on my phone so I will do my best to keep you updated over the weekend. I've had to go through the actual web browser and it takes FO-EVA!!!

Oops sorry, missed the water question. Yes, it is normal for them to drink less. They are getting the hydration they need from their food as they are meant to. Hence the typical increased urine output as well. I always use the web browser on my phone - I never use the app. Let me know how they do with the mostly raw soup. keep it up, they are doing great.

Too cute! They look good - they are all turning into little pudges! I love the ferret-feeding-flower shot. Whoever is on the very top looks nice and soft.

The one on the "Wood" floor? That's Sydney! Or Squidders as I've taken to calling her for some reason. She's my baby The super dark one is Theo and the white-ish one is Scout. Theo's box is definitely missing a few crayons and he's HUGE. But they're all super soft. And no more musky smell!! My boyfriend smooshed all 3 of them up to his nose the other night and was like OMG THIS IS GREAT lolol!!! Clearly I need a bigger dish for them. That's just the only one I have that they can't knock over. Sydney likes to stick her whole upper body in bigger bowls, and Theo has a habit of dragging them off. He some how manages not to spill the water though....

OOPS one more question then I swear I'll shut up. Is it safe to cut off a piece of the ground and just offer it to them like that? I was thinking about just trying that tonight since they dug the frozen stuff so much. Just see if they go for it and if not then mix it up with a tad of the stella & chewey's.
EDITING to also ask - is it normal for them to kind of scoot around and rub their chin/neck on the carpet after they eat? It's hysterical to watch but I didn't know if it was something to be concerned about. All 3 do it.

Yes you can offer them plain ground. If they take it that is great! Just means we can skip a few steps. As for the face scooting yes that is normal, they are wiping their faces off.
