Pepper passed away 2 Fridays ago, and yet I still find myself bawling my eyes out almost every day. He was born at my house almost 17 years ago when his mother showed up on our doorstep pregnant. From day one, Pepper has always been by my side and has been my best friend since I was 4 years old. He knew when I was sick or upset because, during those times, he was basically glued to me. He would sleep with me almost every night, using my pillow as if he were a human. He thought he was, and you couldn't tell him any different. If I would go out, or when I would come home from school, he would always be in the yard or on the porch waiting for me. I miss him so much, I am lost without him. The past couple years he hasn't been doing so well. He had thyroid problems, and was having seizures pretty much daily. I knew it was coming, but I would never be ready for that day.. I love you Pepper, and I'm glad you aren't suffering anymore.

I am so very, very sorry for your loss He was, quite simply, your best friend. I still grieve the loss of my heart ferret Boris a year ago, still cry when I think of him. It's a normal part of grieving. Two weeks isn't nearly long enough time to deal with that kind of heartbreak.

I am so sorry. Kitties live so long when they go you can't even remember not having them around. My sympathies to you.

Condolences on the loss of Pepper, our furry friends can be a big part of our lives (particularly when you grow up with them) and it is heart wrenching when you have to say goodbye

I'm sorry for your loss...healing takes a LOT of time. And there will always be that spoti in your heart that starts out like an empty hole. Over time, that hole will begin to fill in with the good memories.
Sending many healing thoughts your way. I know how bad the loss hurts.
