I am getting ready to change my little fuzzy to raw and gathering ingredients as we speak. My only problem is I can't find bone meal anywhere. Is there any other thing I can use for calcium? How many eggshells would I need to make one batch of soup. Or is it possible to use repcal calcium supplement? Thanks

Egg shell is the easiest. I just rinse the egg shells, dry and then grind up using a mortar and pestle. Sherry uses a coffee grinder. You need about 1/2 tsp for every 8 oz of meat. ciao

It took me a while to find bonemeal as well. I finally found some in a few vitamin shops and in health food stores. Markets like Whole Foods and Fresh Market should also carry bonemeal.
