Hey. I know the last thing most of us need is to be part of another group. However, last fall I created The Rainbow Bridge Project on Facebook. It's a group inspired by an act of kindness done for me after losing my two cats (Sam almost 18 and Smokey 14) within 10 days of one another last summer. A few women from the group got together and had portraits done of them (Patty Ducharme did the work if you know who she is). At any rate, a good friend lost a fuzzy last fall and I created the group to do something for her. Basically, it's a place where we can collaborate and make a loving gesture to help those we care about during their time of grief (loss of a pet, not limited to fuzzies although most are). So far, we've done about 15 projects, mostly portraits. There is ZERO drama, really no topics or discussion to keep up with- just donating a few pennies to do something nice for someone who has lost a furry family member. Normally, we have enough to do a project and whatever is left we send off to use to frame the portrait, put toward vet bills or other needs. Feel free to request to join. Patty is taking a break at the moment but there are lots of other things we can and do for everyone. Feel free to spread the word. The Rainbow Bridge Project
