My girls have been eating a commercial raw for a couple months now...maybe like 6 months...can't remember. They have been eating Natures Variety frozen medallions (assorted flavors...chicken, duck, rabbit, beef, venison and lamb) mainly and occasionally Stella & Chewy freeze dried feline...purple bag I think is duck, duck goose or something like that. And I basically just mix a little bit (about quarter of each medallion) of each flavor with warm water and make a soup...and they gobble it up. But I have been thinking maybe I need to do more. I have gotten some chicken wings and offered it to them a couple of times and if put some ferretone on it they will at least lick it. Although today I managed to pulverize a wing and mix it in their regular soup and I did see them eat some chunks of skin/fat...so that was exciting ;D Anyway...my question is....is it bad if they just have commercial raw as soup always? I have never offered them the medallions whole...so not sure if they would eat it not as a soup. Also if they are eating commercial raw fine does it make sense or is it needed to sign up for a mentor? Sent from my Xoom using proboards

The two you mentioned are well balanced diets, so they'll thrive on it However- you will still need to brush teeth as well as have dentals done. And they won't get the stimulation of actually chewing. If you can get them eating wings or necks a couple times a week it would help a lot. I also found when I get a biter, it decreases when they have a chance to actually chew and bite bone
