I might have spoil my blender LOL. Some black smoke came out earlier. I think a lot of liver was stuck at the blades~ im going to leave the blender for tonight and try again tomorrow. Hopefully it can be revived. Also sherry im still having flu and lately i have like some dry cough. Since i am resting a lot, i will be on and off on the forums. Just so you know. Sierra is still on her soupie and the tone exercise had to stop awhile till i get better. She's only been out 2 hours a day since i got sick, because i was constantly panting when im playing with her. I can't keep up with her. I feel bad

The best thing you can do for her is get yourself better Also- you don't have to play with her the whole time she's out. Give her some tunnels and tubes, grab yourself a cat teaser and sit back moving the wand around. That way you get some rest, and she burns off energy chasing the toy

Well my flu seems to be gone.. Just that im coughing non stop i hate dry coughs! Anyways, i went to the supermarket today. I got her chicken breasts, chicken necks, australian beef and i found heart! I also bought a new blender LOL!! Anyway, to my surprise.. we bought 6 packs of these! I took 2 slices and snipped it small with a scissors! I offered it to her just like that. No tone no nothing~ She loves it! I also gave her a chicken neck. Again she dragged it to some dark corner to eat. But she ate it! That's what is important. I haven't gotten down to find a dark secluded den for feeding yet. Going to blend the chicken breast with the liver, heart and also the rest of the ingredients for the soupie

BONUS So happy she's taking it well! As for a feeding den- for now just use a cardboard box. That's what ours have for the most part ;D Let me know how she does with the pureed liver/heart. And sorry- I totally forgot to answer one of your questions earlier! Yes, the vivify is fine as well

In that case, go back to what she WAS eating. You'll find during a switch it's not uncommon to have to take a step or two back before moving forward again

Okay got it.. back to her small meat chunks. But what will i do with the soupie i already made?
I also noticed when she gets raw chicken, she doesn't eat that much. So lets say i put 10 small pieces of chicken chunks, she eats only maybe 6 or 7. But when the chicken is in soup form, which i boil for a bit and then served with a little bit of the water from the boil.. she will eat. Its because her breeder has always given her chicken this way.

Partly. And partly because ferrets are lazy eaters When they have to chew they do eat less than when the can just inhale it. As for the soup you've made, try combining it with the cooked one she prefers. Just a bit and increase it over time until it's all raw soup.

Fantastic!!! It sounds like you may be getting a bit more confident handling her as well? I think sooo! hahahas! But to be frank i was shivering a little when i snipped nail by nail. Because she was partially vibrating as well! I think she got excited over the ferretone. I wanted to be sure not to snip it too short that it gets to her quick.

Sierra wont touch her soupie if its mixed with the liver soup mixture She would rather starve. Any ideas? Also what if we omit the liver and heart from a ferret's diet? Will it be ok?

Heart contains taurine which is essential to brain and nerve function. Liver contains Vit. A in a form the can use. It's needed for vision, ability to fight infection, affects growth rate, helps bone development and gives a general immune system boost. It may take time, but persevere. Have you tried adding a bit of heavy cream to it? If it's not working with that, you'll need to hand or spoon feed. How is she with you picking her up now, or hand feeding slivers of her favourite meat?

Hi Sherry what kind of cream are you refering to? I have not tried that yet.. As for handling, she nips (but not as hard as the last time) when i pick her up in her frenzy mode. So i stay away from her most of the time when she just came out of the cage. Shes just too hyper to play with when she just comes out lol. But when shes getting tired, i can pick her up no problem! Just that when she wants down.. yepppp.. she will nip me. Telling me LET ME DOWN NAOOO! I COMMAND YOU *nip*. but she still loves biting my feet~ kinda hurt sometimes.. gahh

Oh, sorry- heavy cream=whipping cream. Also- if she's nipping to be let down, that is a bad time to do it. Or at least do a time out and pick her right back up again, maybe using some oil to distract.
