I'd not bother washing it. Just slash it so it's hanging off the bone

Excellent!!!!!!!! Keep working with her- she's getting there Also, when you play with her, for now use a stuffed animal or towel rather than hands. That way you aren't setting her up to fail. Also, you can start offering her hand fed slivers of meat AFTER she's eaten a bit. That way she's not overly hungry so won't grab, and she learns of MORE good things with hands. Still do the 3 minute time out for tantrum biting, but for now if she's just excited and bites by mistake give a good loud "YIP", stop play and walk away.

Yeah slivers of meat was something i forgot to buy when i bought meat the other day~ Also on a side note Sherry, she finally ate the chicken drumstick. But like hours and hours later. Maybe because i did put out some minced meat together~ i seriously did not have a heart to let her starve. I wanted to make sure she ate something. And well ofc, the minced meat went first.. And this morning finally!!~ She munched on the chicken drumstick. But im a tad bit worried that the drumstick has gone bad or something how long can these meats or chicken be out? Dont wanna upset her stomach too~

I leave whole meats out about 24 hours. If it's gone "off", she won't touch it anyway And you don't buy meat slivers- you MAKE them. Take some of her chicken, cut them into slivers about 1/4- 1/2" long and as thin as the crescent on the end of your pinkie nail. After she's had a good playtime, or when she approaches you, offer her one.

All this while i thought a sliver of meat was like a tiny itsy bitsy piece / slices of raw meat BAHAHAHAHAHAH~! Ok noted Sherry. But as i was cleaning her cage today.. Found the chicken drumstick still in one piece It was stashed inside her alligator I thought she ate it all, but it was as if it's hardly touched. She certainly has been chewing on it. But Not devour the pieces of meat~ Maybe it really went bad and thats why she isnt touching it. I am making some of the chicken into her favourite soupie. And then mixing it with the meat and liver mixture. Because i know for sure the soupie she will eat. There were no kibbles in there this morning too! Goddd.. i hope shes not mad at me for not having food in the cage SHES SUPER ACTIVE tonight that is for sure (For a wee one that has very little to eat) I haven't touched her yet tho. Shes just like dooking all around and minding her business. Doing her usual terror here and there.

That's going to happen. Evidently the drumstick was bigger than she likes right now. Next time slash the meat so it's literally hanging off the bone for her.

Actually it was. Maybe it needs more lol. I slashed it even till some came off the bone hehe! Soupie was a hit tho. Along with the liver and minced meat that i put in Maybe she just likes the liver cooked a little? Coz i pour the hot soup on top of it, so it was partially cooked i guess. Not 100% raw.

I was in this same position with Willow when she came to us ;D First nail trimming was rather unnerving, but she did well. When you pick her up give her the tone like usual, while she's licking it sit down with her. Put her on her back and the tone on the tummy. It will feel weird so she'll likely jump a bit and then check it out. Just make sure to use a good bit of tone to keep her occupied. While she's busy with the tone, start with just clipping the tip of the nails off to get both her AND you used to doing it.

I was watching a video on youtube! I think i get how to do it. Will give it a go tonight when i get home. It seriously needs to be snipped! Anyways what was on the menu last night was Soupie again but i remade the mixture. I added in an egg with it. And this morning before i left i had given her pure raw minced meat with a drizzle of ferretone. was a little bigger portion than the usual coz i took out the kibbles

Sounds good. We need to start getting her used to texture and size, along with organ meats and heart

Sounds good. We need to start getting her used to texture and size, along with organ meats and heart Had to cut playtime short today. Coz mommy came down with a flu again so the snipping of her talons will have to wait till i get at least better. I dont want her to catch my cold. Her minced meat was not finished this morning. Either it was too big of a portion or she just dint like it much. Prolly licked off all the ferretone, ate half of the portion and left the rest. The liver she wont touch at all sherry, even it was blended into her minced. And yesterday's batch of soupie. I found a heart in one of the cut chicken! So it was part of the soupie, she ate the rest but left that out in her octoplay.. Forgot to mention that this morning when i was posting.

Liver is an "acquired" taste that most resent acquiring ;D try pureeing it, and add in about 1/2 tsp heavy cream pureed in with it. You'll have to add a wee bit of water to it to blend well.
