Not a breeder, but Cocchi hasn't yet come into season. We're watching closely... Pimm is hard to tell. His bits are dropped, but he's not hob-noxious like previous boys. I *think* he's getting close to being fully in rut.
From conversations with joan, our babies are pretty close in schedule to what she's seeing with her business. We're very dedicated to limiting their light to natural source only (so we spend a lot of time in the dark with them if we really want to play with them). Joan keeps her ferret room colder than the rest of her house, but we don't.

That's about where Tico is too. Bits are fully down, he's starting to smell but the attitude isn't there yet I'm actually hoping that being a year older that maybe he can drop the attitude The 'binos aren't even close. I must have sat for about half an hour with Bacchus today while he laid on his back in my arms while he washed his front feet and then his face and ears. When they're in season they're not near as snuggly...restful snuggly. The two 'binos love to snuggle but when they're in season they're too restless to just lie in your arms. I'm finding that Bacchus (v-hob) is much more laid back than his brother but I don't know if it's because he's a v-hob or because that's just how he is. Lady Morgain is really snuggly right now...it's going to happen. Of all the ferrets I'm hoping she's the one that changes her "seasonal" attitude the most. She was h*ll on furry feet last year and punctuated her "moods" with her teeth ciao

I hear you Heather. Nyxie doesn't bite anymore but is full of attitude and personality. Hoping that des helps her mellow out a bit. 8)

This is my furry hellion Even trying to catch her on video is difficult enough, hence the very short video but it gives one an idea as to why she's not real snuggly ;D ciao

Cocchi is a binary jill: either all on or completely sacked out. Husband sent me pics of her blurry butt leaping away the other day. Then the same night she's completely heat-seeking, wriggling after him on the bed for the warm spot. She discovered my hand under the sheets and spent a good 10 minutes moving my fingers around with her teeth and feet to make sure I was supporting her just the right way.

;D ;D She sounds adorable. Lady Morgain is the last creature in the world I would want in bed with me The bed is hers and hers alone....she removes everyone who's in it. It would be nice if she was like the cats who just move against you until your roll over and out onto the floor. Beds are for hunting in....you hunt toes, fingers, backs of legs....no in bed she's a toe shark ciao

Also Heather, I assume the bell collar is to warn you she's coming so you can move to high ground if need be? ;D

yes Bev... she's one of mine born may 13 ... every single kit that went to the states has shown seasonal signs .. where as their brother and sisters here in the UK... aren't showing ANY signs at all... being in florida, Nyxie has not experienced winter. i wonder if her clock is off a month or so.

Actually, Lady Morgain has developed this game she plays on my husband. He will be in his office on a conference call and she will run in under his desk and bite his feet and ankles. It's very difficult to keep quiet while being chewed by Miss Toe Shark. The bell warns him when she's cruising. ciao

Just an update: At the vet now with Pixie and Nyxie. We are getting the implants for both of them. They are having a blast walking around the vets office.

Heather, I just imagined a man standing on a chair yelling "honey ,come get Lady Morgain " in a really high pitched voice. ;D Something like that.... ;D ;D He's usually sitting in his chair with his feet up on the desk, screaming something unintelligible but it comes out to be "get that nasty little b**** out of here". I come in there to find her war dancing around the chair mouth wide open swinging her head side to side, making breathy haha noises. Though I've noticed the last little while she's been leaning more toward the dooking. It's just a game for her. She doesn't do it to anyone else. I can sit here at my desk and she will jump up onto my lap and try and steal the mouse or the speakers (or anything else that's not tied down)....but she never bites my feet. ciao

Sounds like at least they're having fun before they get "stuck". Good luck, hope everything goes well. Hopefully, you will get your sweet little Nyxie back soon....though she may false first. I seem to remember someone else taking their jill out with DES and having to go through the false too. It's not horrible, just more hormones ciao
