I use that , it works great and for 30$ you can't beat it. Oh I've never had an escapee either well except my German Shepard can jump it with ease lol.

How do you go through it? Do you just step over?

Yes I use this gate and it's perfect for our ferrets. Also much cheaper than other gates, with no gaps at the sides.

How do you go through it? Do you just step over? For me, it's a little too high to step over comfortably but my hubby just steps over it. But it is super easy to put up and take down. I loosen it, move it enough to get past, and then put it back up again. Easy.

I have one of these and I can never get it to fit tight enough in the door. Its always too loose and they wiggle around it.

I wonder if its the door. I have older doors? There are increments every half inch to allow for different door sizes. I have one doorway that can be EVER so slightly loose, while another doorway where it fits very snug. If it's too loose and the next notch is too tight, just put a little shim between the doorway and the gate. If you were to put hinges on it, I would just put a latch so that you don't even need to use the pressure mechanism to keep it in the doorway.
