Oh good boy! You should get some shower curtain hooks and hook he meat to the side of his cage. He might like it better that way. Keep hand feeding him the bone-in meats if oyu can until you can wean him off to eating them on his own.

He ate about a 1/3 of a chicken neck without me having to hold it for him!

I think he ate a bit more of it when I left him today! He also ate an entire heart, without me cutting it up. Just chomped right on into it. (I can't overdose him on heart can I?) Yep, just need to encourage him to eat the bones, and hope he doesn't relapse and need to go to the vet for teeth problems once the antibiotics run out.

Yeah, definitely keep an eye on him for a while. As for heart, no. You can't Technically overdose on heart. The minimum is 1-2 meals of heart per week, but more is fine. The biggest issue is that the high blood content of heart causes soft stools . Having soft stools too frequently can increase risk of prolapse. As such it is generally not recommended to feed a ton of extra heart. The taurine is very good for them, so some extra here and there certainly won't hurt. Keep to the min of 1-2 meals of heart per week to keep to the min taurine intake.

He's chewed on some more chicken necks but he's never finished one. I bought some chicken wings but I didn't realise they were 'boomerang' cut, which seems to be, the wing ends cut off. *sigh*. I'll go back to the shops soon. (I try not to go very often) Tried him on some chicken kidneys (he usually has lamb) and he wasn't sure about that haha. Until I gave it to him in my hand.

Will he eat the wings or necks if they are hung on a hook or hand fed?

Not if they're on the hooks. I tried. I think it moves around too much for him. He'll nibble on them a bit if I hold the necks.
