He's now been reunited with his owner www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-12861295Video: news.stv.tv/scotland/east-central/237912-end-of-the-line-fare-dodging-ferret-travels-from-london-to-edinburgh-by-itself/An adventurous ferret got lost in Edinburgh after apparently travelling there on the train from London all by itself. Mickey was discovered scurrying around at Haymarket Station just after the train from England had pulled out of the station. When it became clear that his owner was not with him, staff called the Scottish SPCA. End of the line: Fare-dodging ferret travels from London to Edinburgh by itself He was found at around 7pm on Monday ferreting around busy platform four at the station in Edinburgh. Staff at the station managed to get him into a box and he was collected by the animal charity who are looking after him at their rehoming centre at Balerno as they search for his owner. Senior Inspector Jenny Scott said: "When I arrived to collect the ferret the staff had managed to catch him and put him in a box. "He appeared on platform four at about 7pm when the train from London was in the station. "We're not sure if he has escaped from someone's house nearby or if he has ventured further and travelled all the way from England on the train. "He's very friendly so he is obviously someone's pet. We'd love to return him to his owner as I'm sure they'll be missing him a lot."

He is one big boy! Haha, he's adorable! I can't believe he rode the train by himself. Maybe he holed up somewhere and slept part of the way? Ferrets! They sure have a nose for adventure. I hope his owners hear of this soon, though, and come pick him up.

he's too cute! and so big...I wouldn't trade my 3 for anything but I want a big fluffy baby! (Bastien is the biggest of mine - weighing in at all of 2.5 lbs)

Oh, what an adventurous little sod. I hope his owner gets to him soon, I bet they're missing their baby, and I bet he's missing them! I wonder if indeed he did go on the train, if someone on the train saw him.

What a cute story! Looks like that ferret has big dreams He is huge! The reporter said "he might be small" and I'm thinking, "HE'S LIKE THE SIZE OF A CAT?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN SMALL?"
