Hello! I have some questions on raw diets?
1. Do you have to do several kinds of meat or can you just use one? Does chicken work?
2. Can it be meats like ground beef or steak?
3. Does it matter when you give it or does it have to be as specific hours?
If I have any other questions I'll let you know!

You must feed a mininum of 3 proteins to cover a decent balance. The more proteins you use the better your ferret's diet, it's really rather simple when you think about it. Chicken will not do as a solitary protein. I use chicken bone as my base for my soupy recipe while adding fish, beef, pork or chicken as the meat. There are also eggs, pumpkin and organ meats in that mix You can feed ground meats on occasion but you have to balance it with your bone meats. It also provides no tooth and muscle benefit. So trying to get them to eat whole meats is better. Depending on what you feed tells you the hours that you should be either refilling the bowls or changing the meats out. I feed a mixture of commercial ground (more exotic proteins, like bison, venison, boar), my own grind mix with bone in, frankenprey (grocery store meats) and prey (mice, rats and chicks (ferret candy)) ciao
