My step dad finally got the Internet working in time to tell you something horrible! ;D Ok we where in the back yard and saw Patches (a old old old old old old old cat who mocha calls friend) looked like she was trying to Barry something, and its my job to shovel the yard for our pets. (Actual I love that job) Must make shire mocha don't eat it ya know. Guess what I saw in it? BLOOD, THICK, RED, GUEY HORRIBLE, PAINFUL LOOKING, LOTS OF LOTS OF BLOOD! What do I do for our living prof that the earth is not millions of years old? No really, shes old.

Are you sure she wasn't burying some sort of prey animal, Aaron? Because if she was passing that much blood- I don't honestly think she'd be standing long enough to bury it.

I'm so sorry, Aaron. Any way of getting her to the vet?

that is actually somewhat common especially in older cats. sometimes it happens and you freak out then it goes away and you don't see it again. we have had ALOOOOT OF cats over the years. usually it is parasites, worms, coccida, etc. which means that you will need to take the cat to the vet for a stool culture. have you given your cat a de-wormer? i would keep your cat away from your ferrets until you rule out worms, parasites, etc.

I'd take a sample into the vet and have them run it for parasites/giardia or some kind of other bacterial infection. Being an outside cat she can catch all sorts of nasty bugs.

We used to have a kitten who had blood in her stools. It was from the tapeworms she'd gotten from ingesting fleas. Of course I'd check with a vet first, but I think you mentioned something about fleas in another thread a while ago(not sure where). If that is the case, only thing to do is deflea and deworm!
