I haven't been around much. The ferrets had been doing well, and life in general has been super super crazy. Which I think is how my guard got let down. Neka is sick, again. I KNOW it's an ear plug, again He's puked up two pieces. We've been up all night keeping him hydrated, and syringing food and or pumpkin/oil into him. He puked last night, and then not again till this afternoon. He is occassionally drinking on his own, though wont eat on his own. He has his first poop about 20mins ago. It's a browny orange and mostly formed, not at all runny. He doesn't seem worse, yet doesn't seem better. I'm not sure what to think. I was sure another piece was in there, thus the continued vomiting, but the stool is good shape and size??? Could there still be a piece in there (yes there's a pieces missing off what he threw up). Am I missing something? can we do more??? We are soo strapped for cash right now, so I haven't taken him to the vet yet. In the last 4 weeks we've had 2 family deaths, both unrelated to each other and both unexpected, as well as a car accident, and as a result that has me going to physio 2-3x a week. Any emergency fund we had has been sucked dry this month. I'm so stressed and cant deal with this now, i've considered giving them to someone else who can, and wont allow this to happen to them.

keep up the pumpkin and oil maybe he will pass the rest - or is it possible that he did not eat it all.

Has he pooped since. If he's not eating on his own, it does sound like he's got a possible floating blockage which is going to need to be seen to. If the piece is large enough it will not pass ciao

Don't know if you can, but getting a barium x ray is recommended. My vet told me it can actually help push the blockage out (I guess the barium is like pumpkin).

bozzle, because he's not gotten better since throwing up the two pieces, and i've looked everywhere I can think to find it I'm pretty sure he did. He's only had the one poop tonight, nothing since. He did peed since.
Can they force him to throw it up if still floating in the stomach, as opposed to surgery?

A bad mother would be oblivious to the fact that he's sick or just hope that he'll come through it on his own. A good mother would be up worrying and doing everything she can to help. And the fact that you would think about giving him up for HIS sake, not because you're sick of his problems or because it would be easier, but because you want what's best for HIM, means that you're a great mother. I can't really offer much advice, but my thoughts are with you. <3

In the interim you can try pushing pumpkin alternating with Vaseline. However- keep a very close eye that more stool comes out. If it doesn't he will need surgery.
