I have a small business (nope not trying to sell anything...) making holistic lotion bars, lip balms, etc. This is the, super secret, recipe I use to make my lovely lotion bars, for human or animal. 1 part each of beeswax pellets (unrefined, unbleached, organic), 1 part almond oil (may substitute, but almond is very human healthy), and 1 part coconut oil (unrefined, organic). I use a small crock pot to heat the ingredients until melted. The next step is important. You must vigorously whisk the three ingredients until they are completely emulsified. Pour hot mix into muffin mold or any soap, or candy molds, empty lipstick tubes, empty tins, or glass jars. Allow to cool. Then USE!!! To get the wonder balm out of containers use the back of your thumb nail to scrape out the lotion, if you used a mold, just rub over your hands the heat of your hand will melt the lotion. I use this for winter skin, eczema, sores, scratches, stretch marks, all over body lotion. On my dogs, I use on their paws, and any skin irritations. Same for ferrets. Apparently animals have an instinctive reaction to beeswax, they do not like the smell nor taste. Although if you increase the coconut to high, they disregard instinct ? PM me if you have any questions.
