Surprisingly, google translator didn't do so bad a job with this page (I'm used to ... hilarious side effects ;D ). There were only a few "?" word choices, and those ARE american mink, and at least she does say that you SHOULDN'T house them together (hers are raised from babies with each and only occasionally interact with strict supervision, so that's good). But then I saw the mon ... geese? Mongooses? ugh, so cute.

They are absolutely gorgeous! But I agree with Heather- wouldn't want one in my house.

Minks can make good pets. I was the one who was investigating getting a mink as a pet. The problem with them is, you have to get them when they still have their eyes closed. And bottle feed them. That way, when they open their eyes, you are the first they see and they bond with you. But it is only about 50/50% chance that they will be tame or not. Then the bigger problem, getting a mink farmer to sell you one. They hate visiters on their farms. Trust me, I tried. I did get one to agree to selling me one. But then I got my Sidney, and agreed with my partner that I would wait on the mink thing. I still plan on getting one. If he turns out nasty, he will still live with me, still alot better than being slaughtered for their fur. I plan on talking to the fur farmer come April, about the time some will be old enough to start bottle feeding. I have a mink living in my yard. I bought her last year from a trapper, and released her near the same creek she came out of at the bottom of my yard.

these are def. whole minks. not ferret at all! you can tell first by the size, shape and tail of the mink. then you look at the pattern and relize that is NOT a ferret. also the tails of minks are longer and minks tend to be FLUFFEYH!!!!! the shape of the head is larger with a "baby ferret" type nose where the nose is short and wide. good luck. and we would love to see the website!

I love minks! Those are some awesome colors too, I've only seen wild 'brown' ones though. I'd love to have a mink haha. As for mongoose, I came so close to buying a breeding pair but I was still in the process of getting my license and permits, and the guy didn't want to hold them. Maybe next time!
