The rest just tucked into raw and whole straight away when I gave them all pigeon one day and that's how I started feeding them raw and whole prey

Mine are only on raw as I just can´t think anything else to give them. But I want to be sure they will get all what it needs and that they do not lack of anything. That´s why I ask so many questions...

That´s why I ask so many questions... There are a few whole preys that you could try to see if you get them to start eating them too if you wanted too, mice and chicks are good starters. Generally, ferrets with a raw diet, whole prey or mix of the two don't really need supplements

But I heard that whole chicks are worthless on nutrients (some breeders here say that) So I am wondering about that too, is it true or not if so, what else?

Baby animals are nutritionally deficit. They're great treats, good at cleaning out the system but are really devoid of any great nutritional value. When feeding prey always feed adult animals ciao

Newborn chicks don't have much nutritional value, mainly because they're tiny and haven't had time to develop but a juvenile chick has lots

Hmm, so that is true, but we can´t get juvenile chicks here. Got to find a farmer who raise them, thou it will be quite expensieve as farmers here raise purebred birds here and one 3 day old chick cost 5 euros... And juvenile 15-30 euros. Soooo Sigh I have to start raising birds again, but first I need a house

Emalendur, what kind of birds did you raise? Quail hopefully for me this spring Well, I had many different and purebred chickens (Bramas, Orpingtons, Marans, Cochins, Aruacanas) then some cross. Then I had purebred guinea fowls, turkeys different duks like Cayugas, Muscovy, Indian Runners, Pekings and cross. I think thats it, my mom once had geese as well. I had about 100 breeding birds with 250 main herd rabbits. There was times when our rabbitry had 1000 rabbits in farm.

@emalendur- thanks for reviving this post. I was able to add a codicil to my original post about the cream And just as an aside- the cream was added short term as a lure to alter the flavour enough to get them accepting the organ soup, not as a long term method.
