Hey and welcome to the forum. How many ferrets do you have and how old? If you right click oh HFF in the upper corner you will see lots of places to go for info. Move your mouse over the heading Natural Diet. There is a wealth of info there to help you get started. Also Newbie Information is another heading that you would need to read. Are you ordering from Hare Today? Lets start with the duck and chicken--are these grinds? This what the ferret can eat from the these. They can eat the wing of the chicken minus the dummette (well mine can't). They can eat the back. They can also eat the ribcage. They can eat the wing. I cut the wing at the joints. The drummette is too dense for mine.ose. With the duck --- basically the ribs, and just add some meat with it. The rest of the bones are just too dense. Of course they can eat tips of wings--- if you want to bother with it. The back seems to be too dense. The variety of meat we give is usually not in the organs but in the meat and bone . Hopefully, some of the members here will have some input on this.
You can also mix alternative diets with the frankenprey. There is a graph that shows you how to incorporate them. holisticferretforum.com/natural-diet/raw-diet-the-meat-of-the-site/basic-frankenprey-menu/holisticferretforum.com/natural-diet/raw-diet-the-meat-of-the-site/balancing-frankenprey-with-alternative-meals/

If you go to an Asian store you usually can find frozen quail. How i cut chicken wings: When I cut the drumette off the wing and the very end off---- the mid-section will look like this. What I do from there is, cut between these two bones to make it easier for my ferret to eat---but if you want to give mid-section as is, they may can eat it without a problem. Again the midsection of wing and tip is edible for ferret. Mine just cant eat drum part because bone is too hard. When I buy a pack of chicken wings from the store, I make sure they have the tips on them.

Hi kferretmom!
Yes that looks like a great selection to start with. Ideally there would be at least 3 different proteins being provided for bone-in meats; rabbit, guinea pig, adult rats and mice, turkey necks, or bone-in grinds are additional options.
