OPINION about this BRAZILIAN CAT KIBBLE needed

Hello everyone!

So recently I have published my first thread on this forum where I was requesting some opinions about a Brazilian Ferret Kibble that we have in here. I really needed opinions because we only have one type of Ferret Kibble in here, and it's kind of unfair because we don't have many options to choose from, we also have Marshall's ferret kibble but about that one I don't have any doubts that it's bad.

So, some people saw my thread and said that the Brazilian Ferret kibble we have available in here isn't actually that bad, but had some bad points for example using carcinogenic preservatives which can cause cancer in long-term feeding, and some poor quality meat-content, so some people suggested that I should go over and look for some high-quality kitten food instead.

And well, I indeed went, however, I figured it out we don't have quality kibble in here, at least, the brands we have here all use transgenic components, carcinogenic preservatives, and poor quality meat content (they use only the organs not the whole animal). 

From all the brands we have here, I found this one, called GranPlus Gourmet, after a whole afternoon at the Pet Store I found the ''healthiest'' one I could get. I will put the ingredients in here, and hope you guys can give your opinions about it.

You may have been better off with the ferret kibble, this has literal sugar in it and many other carb sources. Might need to add some fat in the form of salmon oil, 9% is a little low for ferrets. Also the higher the carbs the more fat you need to slow down the absorption of carbs and balance the insulin spike. A ferret food should be around 15%-20% fat when the rest of the calories are coming from protein, but with carbs in the mix too, you’re probably gonna see steady weight gain when feeding enough to meet their nutrient needs.

Oof, that's kinda disappointing. This was the only kibble in the whole store that was free of Carcinogenic preservatives and transgenics, and that had many meat sources on its ingredients. It's a shame that it's still bad in other aspects.

And that was the best one I could find. The other ones are full of fruits and vegetables on it and almost all of them have peas. I have checked every single cat kibble brand we have available in here, but none of them get even close to the quality Wysong or Orijen have.

Guess I'll have to stick it out with our current Ferret kibble, sadly, they are now stopping to manufacture and a worst brand is going to take the place, as soon as I get the ingredients, I'll post it here to see some opinions. It's a pity that we cannot import any kibble from outside tho... I'll do my best to add raw soup sometimes and eggs into my little girl's diet.

Have you tried looking online too? There's a lot of choices on amazon like Stella and chewy's, ziwipeak, and Wysong epigen ferret food.

What I like about this kibble is that the first ingredient is actual meat, where in the other one it's just meat meal, and it has more meat than the other one, which may have more fillers. (The other kibble's second ingredient is rice, so that's a lot of filler)

The previous kibble also has sugar, but it's disguised with a different name, in blue.

    - Has too little fat (only 9%) you'd have to supplement something to bring that up
    - the sugar is pure sugar
    - has low quality meat ingredients (crackling meat, meal)
    - First ingredient is more processed 

pros
    - has less sugar
    - actually has clay, which can absorb toxins from the body (but we don't know if it's purified)
    - they list the vitamin and minerals they have

Thank you so much for the great opinion and comparison, I really appreciate it! It's really a pity that both kibbles are not that good for my sweet girl. That makes me very sad. I actually always wanted to buy Wyson Ferret Epigen 90 but as I live in Brazil they do not export them worldwide, that makes it difficult to me to buy it, and even if I could, it would cost 5x times more than my current ferret kibble, but I tried to buy it but unfortunately they don't ship to Brazil Do you know any online pet store that does ship worldwide?

I'm not sure, but you can find good kibble in regular websites that sell things, like on amazon. I know they have a lot of good choices there. Would you feed whole prey or grinds? I'd like to know so I can find what foods you could buy from there.

Here is a website that lists ferret food and shows the best ones. They've rated a lot of kibble products, and I think it would be helpful, since you already have a list and would only need to find out if they can ship/ sell it in Brazil.
