I'm looking for suggestions on my boy's poop...
I'm a newbie to my 1y4m ferret. Pierre is a lovely boy from Pathvalley farm.
I need suggestions for the poops after my boy changed to the raw diet three months ago.
He eats kibble this July, and I decided to change his diet from kibble to raw food. I look through many posts to learn how to change the raw and follow the steps as people suggested. However, he refused all of the raw meat. I have no choice but to try Freeze-Dried Raw(RDB). He happily accepted it. And diarrhea began from then.
He keeps having the liquid poops with mucous, runny, seedy…. This problem lasted for three months. I didn't worry about it because he eats a lot and weighs from 1.5kg to 1.8kg. I thought it was a good diet for him. But on 10th Oct. In the routine body examination, my vet told me the poops weren't normal. Maybe he is allergic to raw chicken in the RDB. Considering he has well-formed poop with salmon can. My vet suggested changing the protein in the RDB.
Thus, I try to change the diet from chicken to salmon, rabbit, duck, and goose. But still, have the liquid poop with the new protein I provided. He refused to have beef meat and goat meat. Having no choice, I changed his diet to kibble. Yes, he got well-formed poop with kibble. But the new problem is that he hates kibbles and wants the RDB. I changed his diet to kibble on 22nd Oct, and he lost weight from 1.8kg to 1.6kg in 5 days.
I'm worried about him...
As I don't want to give him kibbles, which he hates, and I hate. I want advice on the next step.
Right now, it looks like he only gets diarrhea from RDB, not from the can or kibble.
