I have been out of this forum for a very long time. I do not own ferrets. I decided not to have them because I thought I couldn’t afford it. Now is been nearly a year my 9 yo dog has been switched to raw food and the difference is outstanding. And money wise isn’t so bad! I buy online from Paleo Ridge. I buy complete mince 80% meat, 10% bone, 5% liver and 5% other organs. They are very good quality meat. I was wondering if they could be fed the same? Or I should add something to the ferrets whenever/if I get to have them?

Definitely they can They should have at least 3 different proteins a week. Just mix and match!

I'd call or email the company and ask about taurine levels if I were you. Heart is 10% of the ferret diet, and is technically a muscle meat, but it is important to know how much they include in their mix. Most, if not all, raw aimed at dogs do not have sufficient levels of taurine (dogs unlike cats and ferrets can create it in their body) and may need to be supplemented with some extra hearts mixed in with it.

No, I do not feed minces cointaining heart to my dog. Every month I do order 1kg box that contains a 20% ox heart (I think it is a higher percentage, not much higher though). They tell you what is in their mixes. So I would have to add some extra hearts for them. And variety wise Trasto always eats 6-7 different proteins a month

Thanks Linda! Good catch. I missed the hearts.
