I had read on forum long time back about using socks for ladders and had done it before. My new boy's cage did not come with any so i did this. However going to re-plumb the cage like my other and take out all shelves and ladders and use tubing to access floors. Anyway thought I would show this. U have to poke holes so the hook part of the ladder will attach to cage. I used thick cotton socks so toenails would not get hung up in the thinner stretchy types (2 socks)

That's actually a rather cute and cheep idea for holiday themed cage colors. Have to keep that in mind. ^_^

I tried that once.. but ours have this thing for socks.. socks are meant for stealing and stashing or wrestling to death and they kept trying to attack and get them off and sometimes their wee nails would catch in sock-like material. I ended up making custom covers for them as my problem with the FN ones ended up being that somehow.. the velcro would allow for them to slowly slide downward with use and we kept having to fix them... so annoying.
