Today, after a seizure, many tears and a frank discussion with my vet, we helped cross the bridge today. He was in sudden distress and I felt that having him put to sleep was the only option that would allow him the dignity and relief he deserved. He died in the arms of my husband and I as we cried and told him how much he means to us. Light a candle. Another angel crosseed the bridge

I am so sorry for your loss. He had a great life, and no doubt knew that he was loved greatly. DIP Oz, you will be missed.

Dook in peace and join your friends at the Bridge now, wee little one, and may your memory always come home to rest in the hearts of the mommy and daddy who cared for you. You were loved and cherished and will always be remembered. My deepest condolences to you and your hubby, it's terrible losing one of these wee things.

I'm sorry for your loss. Nine years is a long time for a ferret. I'm glad you got to live them together and make wonderful memories

Thank you guys. I feel pretty heartbroken and I know Fiddler can't be feeling good either. We've been cuddling him and hand feeding him to baby him extra

Get some Bach's Rescue Remedy if you do not have any. It may help him some, along with all his extra cuddles and love. Make sure he continues to eat and drink well too and keep an eye out for a depression spiral. Good luck and stay strong!

We do have RR, which is good and thankfully one of my younger ferrets Daffodil has been spending time with Fiddler and it seems to have been perking him up. She's a lot younger but doesn't fight him and is extremely gentle with him. He's been eating but has been having litter box issues which I'm sure us an arthritis/stress thing. Thanks all for the well wishes and advice. I'm missing my little guy
